Story Chapter 18

 Story Chapter 18

On the night he fired Atakan, he went to bed, someone knocked on the window, he turned around and saw no one, he didn't think much about such things so he went back to sleep without thinking about it, but soon after, he knocked on the window again, he went and opened the window, there was no one there, he closed the window, went to the bathroom to wash his hands and face, when he looked in the mirror he saw something on his forehead, he said it was a matter of seconds, it was written in Arabic, something black like ash, when he closed his eyes and opened them, it didn't say anything, he was shivering, he barely got into the room where he was in the bathroom, he said the window was open when I entered, he said I'm sure I didn't leave it open, he sat up until morning that night, smoked, went to the place where he was doing his internship that day, thought about what happened that night until the evening, he had to come back home in the evening, he opened the door, someone was sitting in his chair, he said I closed my eyes and opened them again he didn't go, the person sitting in the chair turned his face to him, he saw himself, he said I can't describe the horror of that moment, he said He looked at himself for a while but the image he saw had eyes like fire and feet upside down, he says it was seconds, it was so disgusting, he says it was seconds but it seemed too long, he screamed, the neighbors came and said he was hallucinating.

they tried to comfort him but would the man relax in this state, the neighbors stayed with him for a while and then everyone went home at midnight, but they gave Akif empty advice, what he needed at that moment was someone to be with him until the morning, they started again only after the neighbors left. What he told me affected me a lot, I was scared but along with this fear came a little relief and surprise, actually let me explain this feeling like this, I was like a child who misbehaved in class and the teacher said they did it too, because I wasn't the only one who experienced these things, on the contrary, Akif saw his own reflection, which seemed much scarier to me than what I saw, at least I saw them in different ways, it was scary to even think about it, my surprise increased as the words came out of Akif's lips, he heard laughter until morning and they knocked on the window, he spent hours like this, he just looked at the floor, it is hard to understand this, he could not do anything but tremble and look at the floor at that moment, he could not go outside because they were knocking on the window from outside, there was nowhere to run, when I heard these, the idea that Atakan could do something to Akif came to my mind at that moment, I said can I see your bedroom, we went to the bedroom together, I looked at the parquet floor, there was nothing, there was nothing on the windowsills either, but the wall behind his closet There is a hole at the bottom of the part that is not visible, I put my hand in, a shell and inside there were the same things that were found in my house in the city where I studied at university, Akif and my father were looking at me in astonishment. We went to the living room and sat down, I told my father and Akif that I found the same thing in my bedroom in the city where I studied at university, we didn't know what it meant but it was obvious that it wasn't a good thing, so why was Atakan doing this to us, Akif had never entered the house after kicking him out, when had he put it there, so Akif was also acting nice but was doing something behind his back, so he had put it there without kicking him out, I thought that Atakan was the biggest culprit of what happened to me, and I was right in this thought, maybe I wasn't even the one who killed their children, Atakan could have been the one who blamed me, I pushed these thoughts out of my mind to think about them in a calm time and got to the point, I asked Akif what Atakan was talking about, he had mentioned a book to Akif, I guessed it was the book he had given me, he had mentioned that he needed to find the book and that Akif could join them if he wanted, my He said that I had done evil, that I had betrayed him, my astonishment was increasing as these words came out of Akif's lips, because I had never knowingly or willingly done him any harm, I asked, do you have any idea where he could have gone, Akif didn't know where he was, but it was almost impossible for me to get rid of them without finding him, I took off the thing my teacher had given me around my neck and gave it to Akif, I said, at least they can't come near you, I thanked him for the tea and my father and I set off to look for Atakan.

We left Akif's house, we stood at the door with my father, looking at each other, where would he go, until a while ago my relationship was very good, my food and drink were inseparable, but lately he was just a man hanging out in his room, the only person he saw other than me was Akif, he didn't know where he was, but there was another place he could go, *** is a billiard hall, who knows, we used to go and play billiards sometimes, hoping that maybe he had gone after he left home, Memduh abi was the owner there, we greeted each other, he asked me if Atakan was not there, you hit the nail on the head brother, I said I'm looking for him, did he ever come, no coach he said, he came with you at the end, my little hope was gone, how was I going to find Atakan in this huge city, we left the place by thanking him for something, we were desperate to get home now, my father's phone rang, my mother was calling, Atakan needed to meet with ***, my father said okay we're leaving right away and hung up the phone, we shouldn't have missed him We shouldn't have scared the fish, at that moment a fearful confusion took over him, when he got over this stage, my father and I immediately started running towards home, the cities are relatively close to each other but there is still a distance of several hours between them, foxes are running through my mind, I struggle with my father in between these thoughts so as not to miss my way to salvation and finally we arrived home, I ran up the stairs and opened the door. I entered the house, my mother and Atakan were sitting, my mother had brought tea and they were drinking it, Atakan was sitting like a very gentlemanly person, sipping his tea in the manner of a child of a good family, I was standing and looking at him like an idiot, I sat down, I asked why did you come here, he said I had something in my trust, I said I never took it from there, I said it was in your room last, he stood up, he said okay then, he gave me a hateful look and headed towards the door, I held his shoulder, where are you going brother, he said, if what I am looking for is not here, I will look for it somewhere else, first I said you will give me an account, you will tell everything from the beginning, my mother and father were watching us with worried eyes, he said okay, he sat back down, he said can we talk privately, I said come, we went to the kitchen, I asked my first question and I asked what was coming out from under my bed, I found the same thing at Akif's house, I asked why did you do this to us, he looked straight into my eyes and said you betrayed me, I said what betrayal brother, when what we eat and drink are inseparable, what are you doing, you are this I asked him where he got involved in these troubles, you weren't like that. He didn't seem to hear me, he seemed to be thinking only about what he wanted to tell, he started telling me where he got that book and necklace...
